Happy Sunday everyone!
Here we are. The end of 2020 is finally here! I think we can all agree when I say "YAYYYY!!!
As December comes to a close, the common theme out there is Good Riddance! Never Again!
Without a doubt it has been a tough year, and we all have the right to feel and express whatever it is we are feeling. And, no worries. I am not going to tell you to focus on the good that happened. That not everything was bad and we should try and focus on the silver lining.
I cannot in all honesty say any of that. Me and my family experienced our share of tribulations and mishaps this year. From financial strain, to house issues, to family drama, and culminating in the loss of our beloved pet just a few days ago. So, I do not feel like looking at all the good that happened this year. Can you relate?
However, I want to focus on the lessons learned with all the uncertainties. Perhaps the fact that what we thought was essential for our daily life, didn't matter that much anymore. Or the fact that we are much more resilient than we thought. Or the realization that we can do much more from the comfort of our homes than we thought possible. Or the biggest take away, at least for me, is that I am not alone. I have people that have shown in one way or another how they support me, how much they care about me, and how much I matter.
I am taking a moment to honor these people. I want to say Thank you so very much for being there for me. I hope I am doing the same for you.
As we enter the New Year, let's use this knowledge to propel us into a brighter future. We are stronger, We are wiser, We are not alone!
What are your take aways from this Year? What have you learned?
